7 days of afternoon/evening storms? Seriously? Side eye to you, Colorado. Get it together. Every evening, the storm clouds come rolling in bringing the thunder, lighting, rain and hail that keep us all up. The dog hyperventilates, and Addison thinks that the Grinch is outside her window. I believe that the Grinch is the scariest thing she can imagine, so you are really working this kid up.
Quit.
Now.
Maybe you just need some reminding of what summer should look like. Fine, here you go.
This Mama is counting on the nice weather to wear her two year old out and you are majorly screwing that up. The pool closes for 30 minutes after every lighting strike the teenage lifeguard spots, even if its 52 miles away. I can only hope that their eagle eyes are on the kids half the time they are looking for the next lightning/breaksoicantextmyboyfriendintheshade strike.
You may judge, but the result is a tired kid. Success!
We will be out of town for a few days, where both kids should be sufficiently worn out by family members. Feel free to take that time to get your act together and drum up some warm, nice weather for next week.
With love and (hopefully) sunshine,
J
