Catching up with Addison

I have some regrets about not starting this sooner. Addison is already 2 years 4 months old. Thats 28 months of really cool, sweet, smart, sassy things that I havent really documented. So, I guess I better get to it then.......

Merry Christmas!

My dear Addison, what a joy you are. From the moment you came into our lives we have not stopped smiling.  You often say to me, "Mommy, Im so happy about you" and I almost burst with love, I feel the same way about you. When you were really little I could tell you were so smart and independant. You loved to go to sleep on your own in your crib, you would fuss if we tried to cuddle you too much. You are a fiercly independant girl, and I love that. There isnt anything that you cant climb and Daddy and I will be putting you into gymnastics very soon! As a baby you would look around with big huge eyes and a wide open mouth, it was as if you were trying to take everything in all at once. It must have worked, you are so smart and I cant pull anything past you. Ill post about your second year soon, we sure have had a blast so far! I love you baby girl. Love, Mama

Today we got up early and went for a walk with some of our new neighbors. Addison had a chance to go to play park, of course to get some climbing in. When I loose sight of Addison on the playground I will say, "Hey Addi girl?" And she will sweetly answer, "Yes Mama?" I love the sound of that. Delaney napped most of the walk, which is good since she had a difficult night last night. Seth had to get up with me to help calm her down just after 11pm. Poor Daddy, he had to be up really early too but sometimes a baby just needs a Daddys touch. After lunch we went to get some groceries and made it home just before nap time. The girls have both drifted off to sleep for a few minutes, and this Mama is in need of a nap too.
