Poor little thing.
As a Mama, its the worst feeling to have a baby that is hurting, scared, uncomfortable, upset. I know that its just teething, everybody goes thru it and nobody dies from it but still. I hate to see my kids anything but happy. We have found a few things that relieve her sore gums. Frozen grapes in this contraption seem to help:
Its just a reminder to me that she is growing, changing. Thats difficult for me too. Im equal parts proud, impressed and bummed. The days go by so fast and each day I think Im going to wake up and shes going to have a little tooth. Its just a pearly reminder that she wont stay like this forever, we have to enjoy and capture these moments. Im excited for her to grow up and be a smart, strong, independent girl, but I adore these little moments when she is young. I guess that is why I started this blog. I could never express to her when she is older all the minute details of her days, those things that are so precious to me. So, Im going to take some pictures, write some words and know that in the years to come we can look back at this and smile.
Here are a few pictures of our week alone together while Addi was away
What a sweet little bug you are. You have found your little voice and use it a lot! Especially in the morning. You are an earlybird and usually wake up around 5:30 or 6. I can hear you talking and singing. I give you a few minutes of alone time, you like to have a conversation with your blanket. Then, we get up together and go downstairs to start the day. I got out some new toys for you yesterday, they make music and light up, your two favorite things in a toy. I try to get you to have tummy time but as soon as I put you on your belly, you flip right back over to your back. You have figured out how to scoot on your back and you like to do it so much Im worried you might get a carpet burn on the back of your head. Tomorrow we have your 6 month Doctor visit. I cant wait to see how much you weigh now.
Love, Mama
P.S. Addison comes home today and I am so excited to get my arms around that kid! She has really enjoyed her time in Eads, and Im told she doesnt want to come home. Tough beans kid, today your Mine!
